#graduationday I'm not big on ritual or ceremony, so I think I'd have been happy skipping graduation ceremony. My mom, had another take. She was very lackadaisical typically. As long as my grades were good and I didn't get in trouble, I could conduct my school career as I chose. Except for graduation. She made it #crystal clear that my attendance was mandatory. She so rarely put her foot down I knew that kicking up a fuss was ill-considered.
